Attention! Do not put any oils or other liquids in the machine!
That will lead to malfunction and loss of the warranty!

The bigger the number, the sharper or softer the mode.

CENTER and RIGHT increase the power, making the hit sharper, while CENTER and LEFT decrease the hit sharpness.

To toggle the setting, the center and one of the side buttons must be pressed at the same time.

The machine has a total of 7 modes:
Stable – the SmartHit function is off
Sharp 1/2/3 – modes for the sharper hit
Soft 1/2/3 – modes for the softer hit

The machine has a built-in hit adjustment function. It changes the way the motor and electronics respond to the load from the needle entering the skin.

Electronic adjustment of the hit (SmartHit)

NOTE: The machine does not have a button switch-off function and automatically switches off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

– Pressing the center button briefly, turns the motor on and off;
– The left button decreases the motor speed;
– The right button increases the motor speed;
– Pressing the center button and one of the side buttons at the same time, changes the SmartHit mode.
– Pressing the center button for a longer time (2 seconds), switches between the speed memory slots;
– Pressing the center button for a long time (5 seconds), opens the setup menu.

Control buttons

To fix that and start the calibration, press any button
(e.g. restart the motor or change the speed).

If the cartridge is changed or the needle hang is changed by more than 1/3 of a turn of the grip while the motor is on, the calibration will be overhauled. This will cause the SmartHit electronic adjustment (hardness/softness) to work stronger or weaker than set.

When the motor is switched on or the speed is changed, the cartridge stiffness is automatically calibrated, meaning that the machine adapts to the cartridge stiffness for optimal performance.

Auto-calibration of power setting

To do this, enter the menu by long pressing the center button (5 seconds), the information page will be displayed and after 3 seconds the Start-stop time setting page will appear. Use the right and left buttons to set the desired value. To exit the menu, press the center button, the setting will be saved automatically.

This function can be deactivated or the switching off time can be changed between 3, 10 or 30 seconds in the Start-stop menu section.

When the machine is stationary in a horizontal position (won't work with a vertical stand), the motor automatically switches off after 3, 10 or 30 seconds, and automatically switches on when the machine is moving (lifted off the table, for example).

Start-Stop function

1) Set the usual speed (Hz)
2) Set the SmartHit mode to ‘Stable’.

If more hit power is required (especially for line work), set the SmartHit to ‘Sharp’. If more delicate work is required (soft skin, shadow work), set the SmartHit to ‘Soft’.

If using the machine in soft mode is still too traumatic, it is recommended to lower the speed (Hz).

Our advice on how to set the machine for yourself

Speed Recommendations

Only use cartridges of high quality
and of standard size.

Use cartridges with a membrane that do not let all kinds of impurities inside the machine.

DO NOT use cartridges of not standard sizes or poor quality cartridges that let ink and other potentially contaminated fluids inside the machine!

NOTE: To reduce noise and improve the smoothness of cartridge movement, we recommend applying a small amount of petroleum jelly to the tip of the cartridge pusher and the contact point between the pusher and the cartridge. The amount should be approximately the size of a match head or less.

DO NOT use cartridges without a membrane, that lets ink and blood into the machine! This can lead to a cross-contamination, as well as to a malfunction and loss of warranty.

Cartridges

Use only high-quality disposable grips of proven brands with a thread compatible with Cheyenne.

DO NOT use too much force when tightening the grip. This can damage the thread.

DO NOT use low-quality grips! This can lead to jamming and damage to the thread of the pen.

Grips

In order to prevent loss of battery capacity:

DO NOT store the machine completely discharged.

DO NOT store the machine at high temperatures (more than 45°C (113 °F)).

DO NOT not leave the battery in direct sunlight.

Battery

Use a barrier sleeve for the body of the pen and cover the grip with several layers of a flexible bandage.

NOTE: The most common disposable grips in the world are Cheyenne-compatible grips. We have specially made threads on our Ultron 3 and Ultron 4 like on Cheyenne pens, so that our beloved clients do not experience difficulties in finding disposable grips anywhere in the world.

According to Cheyenne's standard, disposable grips can dangle in the threads of the pen. This is done in order to wrap the pen thread into a barrier protection - into a disposable sleeve. In this case, you get a steady, tight movement of the grip without dangling.

Please wrap our pen into a sleeve as shown in this video (scan the QR code) and the disposable grips will fit tightly on it.

DO NOT use the pen without barrier sleeves! This can lead to a cross-contamination.

Barrier Protection

Grip Sterilization:

We highly recommend CaviCide™ Cleaning and disinfectant solution & Madacide-FD or other solutions with similar compound.

The grip is compatible with autoclaves, ozone sterilizers and cold sterilization methods in solutions with non-aggressive acidity or alkalinity.

DO NOT autoclave or use dry heat sterilizers on the body of the pen! The motor, coating and mechanism will become unusable.

DO NOT let the grip contact any dirty surfaces during and after the process of sterilization.

DO NOT use dry heat sterilizer and do NOT use alkaline or acid cleaning agents with strong bases (high or low pH). Doing so will damage the grips and warranty will be void.

Cleaning:

Wipe the body of the pen, the grip and the cavity with the pushing bar inside using napkins and cotton buds with alcohol-based disinfection and sterilization solutions (alcohol evaporates quickly and won’t expose components of the pen to corrosion).

DO NOT soak neither body of the pen nor the grip in disinfection and sterilization solutions. Do not spray them over the pen either.

Cleaning & Grip Sterilization

We highly recommend using disposable grips compatible with Cheyenne!
