Incorrect position of the battery will cause breakdown of the machine!

Attention! Always check the polarity when installing the battery into the machine! (see the pic.)

– ‘negative’ (flat, larger diameter)
is covered by the removable lid.

+ ‘positive’ (convex, smaller diameter)
goes into the body of the machine;

You can use Li-Ion 18500 batteries purchased independently with the machine. We recommend purchasing PANASONIC batteries, model NCR18500A.

NOTE: The battery must be of an unprotected type (without built-in protection).

DO NOT store the machine at temperatures above 45°C (113 °F) - this will negatively affect the battery life.

DO NOT store the machine with a fully discharged battery - this will negatively affect the battery life.

DO NOT connect the charger to the machine if there is no battery in the machine.

Battery

DO NOT attempt to lock the MultiStroke screw in intermediate positions (between the markings on the armature bar);

DO NOT unscrew the MultiStroke screw all the way or a part of the system will fall out. If it falls out, insert it back in and tighten the screw.

Adjustment process

3. Tighten the screw until the stop.
Working with a loose screw can cause damage to your machine.

Always tighten the Multistroke screw completely before starting work and when changing strokes.

NOTE: If you hear noise during operation, be sure to tighten this screw.

Stroke adjustment (MultiStroke)

1. Loosen the adjustment screw 2-3 turns until the adjustment screw moves freely.

DO NOT turn on the machine with the MultiStroke screw loose;

2. Move the screw so that it is opposite the number indicating the desired stroke.

The bigger the number, the sharper or softer the mode.

CENTER and RIGHT increase the power, making the hit sharper, while CENTER and LEFT decrease the hit sharpness.

To toggle the setting, the center and one of the side buttons must be pressed at the same time.

The machine has a total of 7 modes:
Stable – the SmartHit function is off
Sharp 1/2/3 – modes for the sharper hit
Soft 1/2/3 – modes for the softer hit

The machine has a built-in hit adjustment function. It changes the way the motor and electronics respond to the load from the needle entering the skin.

Electronic adjustment of the hit (SmartHit)

1) Set the usual stroke and speed (Hz)
2) Set the SmartHit mode to ‘Stable’.

If more hit power is required (especially for line work), set the SmartHit to ‘Sharp’. If more delicate work is required (soft skin, shadow work), set the SmartHit to ‘Soft’.

If using the machine in soft mode is still too traumatic, it is recommended to lower the stroke or the speed (Hz).

Our advice on how to set the machine for yourself

NOTE: The machine does not have a button switch-off function and automatically switches off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

– Pressing the center button briefly, turns the motor on and off;
– The left button decreases the motor speed;
– The right button increases the motor speed;
– Pressing the center button and one of the side buttons at the same time, changes the SmartHit mode.
– Pressing the center button for a longer time (2 seconds), switches between the speed memory slots;
– Pressing the center button for a long time (5 seconds), opens the setup menu.

Control buttons

To fix that and start the calibration, press any button
(e.g. restart the motor or change the speed).

If the cartridge is changed or the needle hang is changed by more than 1/3 of a turn of the grip while the motor is on, the calibration will be overhauled. This will cause the SmartHit electronic adjustment (hardness/softness) to work stronger or weaker than set.

When the motor is switched on or the speed is changed, the cartridge stiffness is automatically calibrated, meaning that the machine adapts to the cartridge stiffness for optimal performance.

Auto-calibration of power setting

To do this, enter the menu by long pressing the center button (5 seconds), the information page will be displayed and after 3 seconds the Start-stop time setting page will appear. Use the right and left buttons to set the desired value. To exit the menu, press the center button, the setting will be saved automatically.

This function can be deactivated or the switching off time can be changed between 10, 20 or 40 seconds in the Start-stop menu section.

When the machine is stationary in a horizontal position (won't work with a vertical stand), the motor automatically switches off after 10, 20 or 40 seconds, and automatically switches on when the machine is moving (lifted off the table, for example).

Sterilization

DO NOT try to sterilize the machine in an autoclave or a dry heat sterilizer – this will disable your machine and make it unsuitable for repair.

Use ONLY alcohol-based disinfection and sterilization solutions to protect components of the machine from corrosion.

DO NOT use water–based disinfectant solutions for sterilization - this will lead to corrosion.

Use napkins and cotton buds to clean the machine.

1) Install the grip;
2) Insert a plunger bar or a standard tattoo needle;
3) Slightly tighten the clamp lock;
4) Lower the needle clamp so that the roller touches the plunger bar/needle;
5) Tighten the clamp lock to the end, while the clamp will also press the needle harder to the desired tension.

Needle Clamp

DO NOT press the needle clamp too hard! Pressing too hard dampens the sharpness of the impact, reduces the power of the machine and quickly consumes battery power. It is not necessary to use the clamp to work with cartridges.
